Hi,
It's hard to believe that skype has been around now for just over a year now. I remember hearing about it through someone in a voice chat room who said it was featured on Main Menu on ACB radio. It was demonstrated with someone from the zone here, and coming here at that time, I found where you can have your skype contact in your profile, where it's been ever since. Well actually it was not for a while when I wasn't using it but started using it regularly back in June, although I'd been downloading all the new beta releases when they came out, and I believe it was back some time last winter or somewhere around that time, when the audio quality was even better. Now I use it almost every day to talk to at least one person.

I've had a couple people add me from here, but I haven't heard from them as yet, but hey, it's not the end of the world if I don't, but anyway, it's awesome. IN the early days of having skype last september, I was contacted by Melodica, who at the time was using Metal Girl, and was using a dial-up while I was using cable and the connection was good even then, even though a broad band connection was recommended. I definitely recommend it. IN case you don't know, it's now out of beta, at version 1.0.29.

Definitely puts the other voice chat messengers to shame!!

I do agree! I downloaded it last year with dialup and windows 98 and it would only work well when it wanted too - had a complete mind of its own, even when I eventually upgraded to XP but now .. I got broadband a few weeks ago and I find I use skype all the time.w well I have it running all the time in my system tray and it does sure work well!
